Mr Anup Kumar Sharma is the Lead Consultant in Oncoplastic Breast and Endocrine Surgery at St George’s Hospital in London. He is also a General Surgeon and Honorary Senior Lecturer at St George’s University of London, the Medical School affiliated to St George’s Hospital. Anup obtained his undergraduate medical degree at The Middlesex Hospital Medical School in 1985.
As an Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon, he provides a comprehensive service including the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of women presenting with both benign and malignant breast diseases.
He is also a fully trained Endocrine Surgeon undertaking routine, revisional and complex thyroid and parathyroid surgery as well as laparoscopic adrenal surgery. He is an experienced General Surgeon and treats Emergency General Surgical and trauma patients.
He was the Clinical Lead for General Surgery at St George’s Hospital between 2007 and 2010. Anup serves on the Surgical Training Committee for specialist registrars in South West London. He was elected to the Court of Examiners at the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2005. He is also the club doctor for AFC Wimbledon.

Mr Dibyesh Banerjee is a Senior Consultant Surgeon and Honorary Senior Lecturer at St George's Hospital Medical School, University of London. As a Specialist in Oncoplastic Breast Surgery, his practice ethos is to achieve the best possible cosmetic result whilst ensuring optimal oncological clearance of breast cancer. He has a tertiary referral practice for complex revisional breast surgery and delayed breast reconstruction.
Mr Banerjee qualified with honours in 1990 and became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 1995. After spending 2 years in full-time research, looking at immuno-histochemistry of wound healing in breast cancer patients, he completed his higher specialist training in General Surgery (Breast) in 2004. He obtained his specialist training at the Oncoplastic Breast Unit in Winchester, England and at the Cardiff Breast Unit in Wales. His international experience includes Observership at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre (MSKCC) in New York and a Travelling Fellowship at the Winship Cancer Institute and Crawford Long Hospital, Emory University, Atlanta. He has also attended training courses at the European Institute of Oncology in Milan and the Jersey Breast Reduction Masterclass.
He is keen to promote the sub-specialty of Oncoplastic Breast Surgery and remains highly committed to teaching and training. As a member of the Association of Breast Surgeons and the SW London Tumour Working Group, Mr Banerjee sits on several committees. He was the QA Lead Surgeon for SW London Breast Screening Service for several years, and a past member of Faculty for the Whipps X Higher Surgical (FRCS) Course and the Winchester-Jersey Oncoplastic Breast Surgery Masterclass. In his free time, he enjoys travelling, playing cricket and badminton.
